The Hollywood hottie shared a very important detail about himself at the Teen Choice Awards yesterday… his real name isn’t actually Ashton.

It’s Chris.

When appearing on stage to accept his ‘Ultimate Choice’ Award, the 35 year old actor decided to reveal his real identity.

“In Hollywood there’s a lot of insider secrets to keeping your career going and I feel like a fraud, my name in fact is not even Ashton.

“Ashton is my middle name. My first name’s Chris and it always has been. It got changed when I was about 19 and became an actor.

“There are some really amazing things I learned when I was Chris and I wanted to share those things with you guys because I think it’s helped me be here today.”

It looks like Ashton isn’t the only one who’s changed his name before making it big in tinsel town.
