Giddy up ladies, it’s time for a spring fling on the racetrack as racing season arrives.

Spring carnival gives you the perfect excuse to gather up your girls for a fun day trackside, and fret not, if you don’t know much about horses, you’re still in for a fab time.

One of the best things about the races is that you can wear overly extravagant headpieces embellished with glitter and feathers and no one will question it!

So it’s time to dust off your fascinators and race down to your wardrobe.

These are the hottest trends this Spring that will see you headlining fashions on the field.

Fun florals

Nothing reminds us more of Spring than fresh blooms.  A floral headband spells out fun and flirty, perfect for the racetrack.

Fascintating fashion

The key to rocking a fascinator is finding a piece that doesn’t hide your face, but still makes a statement.  With feathers, glitter, netting, flowers and beads available, you’ll have raceogers staring for all the right reasons.

Little bo peep

Whoever said hats are for old people needs a little lesson in the Spring style stakes.  Channel a vintage inspired look with a sophisticated hat this season.

Go Gatsby

If you don’t fancy a fascinator or hat this season, some Gatsby glamour may just do the trick.  Opt for a sparkly headband encrusted with gems and stones.  Clever and classy.

Ear cuff

There is a creative fashion fix to keep those fly aways in place on windy afternoons.  Keep your hair simple with a sleeked back do, and then bling it up with a glitzy ear cuff.

Burst of colour

Wearing colour to the Spring races is a no brainer but the fun starts when you splash a bit of each shade into your look.  Multicoloured dresses can definitely work if you find a frock with bold, statement prints.

Lace

For an elegant tea party look, a laced dress will work wonders.  Then it’s just a matter of mixing and matching a cute headpiece.

Tips from the experts:

Sophie:”Wear comfortable underwear, don’t show any bra straps and think about your shoes ladies because you’ll be in those shoes all day.”

Laura: “Being Spring, we need to embrace the beautiful weather we’ve got.  Keep it light, fun, colourful and keep it classic as well.”
